Delight your family and friends with our Watermelon Sorbet with Amore di Mona dark chocolate "seeds".
This is a super-cute sorbet recipe by the talented Ms. Emily Von Euw of This Rawsome Vegan Life using our Amore di Mona Gourmet Bulk Bar. It is as refreshing as it is adorable, kid-friendly, and perfect for your summertime festivities.
14oz frozen mango puree
1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)
1/4 cup (1 square) Amore di Mona chocolate bulk bar
1. Melt the chocolate and then form into droplets on parchment paper. Or simply chop up. Set the chocolate aside.
2. Scoop out all the flesh from the watermelon, keeping the rind intact for later, and blend it with the mango puree and maple syrup (if using). Pour into an ice cream maker and process until it's the consistency of a slushee (If you don't have an ice cream maker, leave it in the freezer in a bowl and stir every 30 minutes until you get to the same point).
3. Add the chocolate pieces and mix in evenly.
4. Once the chocolate is mixed in, scoop it all back into the watermelon rind and leave in the freezer until solid. When ready, let it thaw, then slice and enjoy!
